The Dutch automotive industry has grown considerably in recent years and now encompasses over 40,000 jobs. A large part of the industry is concentrated in Brainport, which is the place of business of world leaders such as DAF trucks, VDL Groep, TomTom, NXP semiconductors, Nedschroef, Nedcar, and Philips and top research and training institutes like the Eindhoven University of Technology, TNO Automotive, PDE Automotive, and TTAI (TÜV Rheinland TNO Automotive International).
