About Brainport

Clusters

One of Brainport’s main strengths is to bring companies together to work collaboratively. There are several clusters of companies within Brainport that work and innovate together. Entrepreneurs also mix in different networks which are often linked to a particular sector or theme.

CLUSTERS

Clusters are groups of companies that have long-term collaborative relationships. They have intrinsic commonalities because they are active in comparable sectors. They work actively together to solve challenges they cannot tackle on their own, such as technology development, internationalisation or employment needs. In some cases educational institutions and universities can also join a cluster, as can government departments. Working together in these practical business groups can strengthen a company and give it a competitive advantage. In the Brainport region we have several successful clusters, like Brainport Industries and the High Tech Software cluster.
