Design has been in the DNA of the Eindhoven region for decades. Thanks to its industrial and technological background, Eindhoven has developed into a city of innovation and creativity, a fact that is acknowledged by the numerous innovative products invented, developed and manufactured in Brainport. Design icons are the Design Academy Eindhoven (according to Time Magazine the ‘School of Cool’), the top design studio of Philips Design, the famous Van Abbe Museum, the Faculty of Industrial Design at the Eindhoven University of Technology, and the extremely popular annual Dutch Design Week.

Mind you, top design from Brainport is not only ‘technology with an attractive appearance’ but also ‘convenience’ and ‘comfort’. In short: products that make life more pleasant. And it is for this reason that there is a market for these products. Design is increasingly often making the difference.
